The Magpie Collective
A vibrant art and apparel hub led by women and non-binary creators.
I LOVE this shop - It's like a giant hug, but also just like I always imagined Aladdin felt as he stepped into the cave of wonders. If you can at all I would advise you to visit the shop itself, as it is magical, and brimming with gorgeous wee gifts! I often go here when in need of a gift, and am delighted to be stocked there too! They proudly support small Irish brands, and are full of whimsical handmade gifts, art, jewellery and apparel. They also stock pre loved and vintage clothes with dedicated plus sized lines.
Gro Gifts
Family-inspired gifts for everyone.
Lovely gifts, all of them made from their home in Dungarvan, this really is the essence of a family business. If you have ever been to the market there, you have probably spotted them, with fab intricate wooden gift items, and some lovely crochet bits too! Catch them at the Dungarvan Market!
Little Lane Bookshop
Waterford's Independent Used Bookshop.
I love a good second hand book shop - It makes reading affordable, and encourages random discovery of books! There are many hidden gems in here, and the shop itself is just gorgeous, if you have time to pop in (Spring Garden Alley, just off the Apple Market in Waterford City).
Wierd Watercolours
Hilarious designs inspired by Irish humour and meme culture.
Ah Jaysus - if you're looking for a good giggle, this is the place to go! Check out the now VIRAL Jesus Christ what a year calendar (slightly over €20). There are also mugs, t-shirts, and the best and most high-larious Irish cards out there!
Nature’s Alchemy
Sensitive skincare inspired by nature.
Lovely lovely skincare, and what I appreciate is that it is made for those of us with sensitive skin. Made locally with a whole lot of love, these are some very special products - By the way if you are looking for a gift for me, look no further than the Moisturiser bar!!!
Blasta Books
Gorgeous cookbooks with a street food vibe.
I have gifted these again and again (and own a few myself), and everyone always comes back to me delighted with the recipes. I'm also a big supporter of the chefs/writers of these gorgeous books, and you may see me getting a delicious meal from Socafro (Food Truck Waterford & beyond) or Tango (Killarney), and ordering so much food from Picado (Dublin). Good Food, Great recipes, Amazing People. big thanks to Blasta Books for bringing this collection to life!
Mad Jessie
Art-inspired, sustainable, practical gifts.
Totally need to include Mad Jessie in this Guide!!! My Original Snuzzles are now all just €10 each - these multi-use tube scarves are all hand drawn and designed by yours truly with love! Just like my collection of Art Prints, and NEW to my website, the Cup Cozie!
